Summer

Summer

As we head towards Summer, our stress loads can increase as we try to meet deadlines before heading off for a well-earned break!

So, if you find yourself working long hours or feel you are on an endless treadmill, perhaps you could look to Solution Focused Hypnotherapy to help you feel calmer, brighter, and happier about life.

The two most common areas of their life that people come to see me about are stress and anxiety.  Workplace stress can manifest itself in a variety of different ways – not just in the office but also at home and socially.

Parts of our brain are very efficient at dealing with threats to us and this reaction developed as an evolutionary coping mechanism, designed to ensure our survival.  However, many things in modern day life now trigger this response and our constant state of ‘high alert’ increases the flow of stress hormones in our body on a regular basis  – resulting in us feeling “stressed”.

People who struggle with stress at work may find they have anger issues or that they struggle with sleep patterns – perhaps becoming insular in their thinking.

With every negative thought a person experiences, it goes into a metaphorical “stress bucket.” As the levels increase,  so people struggle to cope. Solution Focused Hypnotherapy helps to empty this “stress bucket” by encouraging you to look towards positive solutions and, as you start to feel calmer, you will feel more able to focus on what is important to you.

A key part of Solution Focused Hypnotherapy is the safe use of a trance state, which is a natural way to aid the reduction of stress so that, after a number of sessions, you can start to feel better able to cope with life.

Some clients have also found that it helps to improve their thinking ability, productivity and confidence – both in and out of the workplace.

By emptying the stress bucket, we allow the brain a greater degree of flexibility allowing you to think positively, act positively, and interact in a productive way.
