Working online via FaceTime, Skype and Zoom has become so much more common recently – but you’re not sure about participating in therapy online …
It is really like we are in the same room, particularly if you use a tablet or computer. We always ask clients to book a FREE strategy session to see if it’s the right way forward for you.

Most people have had to do this now. We use Zoom for our sessions and you will only need to click a link and follow straightforward instructions.
Even if you were lying down relaxing at the time, you would be fully aware and in control and I would phone you, if you weren’t able to rejoin the session
I have observed the same results in my online clients as those I see face-to-face. Some people find it even easier to focus.
All you need for an online face-to-face therapy session is: a tablet, phone or computer and a reliable internet connection. Some people prefer to use headphones. Make sure you have power connected too and turn all alerts off! The session time is just for you and requires your full focus.
Think about the room you call from, which should be comfortable, warm and quiet with NO interruptions – leaving you free to relax and listen. Ideally you should be able to lie down, or put your feet up during the second half of the session. It’s a good idea to have a cosy blanket or duvet to hand for this bit!
When you book your session online, a Zoom link with be automatically sent to you. We use Zoom for these sessions because it meets a very high standard of confidentiality and data protection and is easy to use.
At the time of your appointment just click the link and you’ll be connected to a video call with Sara. If you’ve never used Zoom before, please click on the link 10 minutes before your 1st session in order to allow time to download the software and test your sound. Just follow the on-screen instructions.
